The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State, High Chief (Hon.) Alabh George Turnah, MON, Esq., has expressed profound shock and deep pain over the passing of Chief Dan Osi Orbih, National Vice Chairman, South South Zone of the PDP.

Turnah, who worked closely with the late party leader in his capacity as Zonal Legal Adviser and subsequently Zonal Secretary of the PDP South South Zone, described Chief Orbih as more than a political associate, but a father, mentor and steadfast guide whose wisdom, courage and commitment to the party profoundly influenced his own journey.

According to him, the South South and the PDP have lost one of the most devoted and consequential party men; a man whose loyalty to the ideals of the party remained unwavering and whose contribution to its growth and stability will be remembered for generations.

“Chief Dan Orbih was a true father to me. I did not only work with him; I learnt from him. His counsel, firmness, courage and genuine concern for the people and the party were unmistakable. His death has left a painful void that will be difficult to fill,” Turnah said.

The Bayelsa PDP Chairman Expressed his condolences to the Orbih family, the PDP leadership and the people of Edo State, noting that, “the enormity of the loss makes words inadequate at a moment such as this. The rain is too heavy. Even this one, we cannot ask God why. There are moments when the heart has no argument with the will of God. We can only bow in submission, grateful for the life he lived, the people he touched and the legacy he leaves behind. May God grant his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss and grant our departed father, leader and friend eternal rest.”
