The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Hon. George Alabh Turnah, MON, has congratulated seasoned journalist and broadcaster, Mr. Ovieteme George, on his recent recognition by the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) and the Africa Media Awards.

Turnah, who spoke at a ceremony at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, described the awards as a testament to Ovieteme’s professionalism, consistency and commitment to journalism.

He said the journalist had continued to project the image of Bayelsa positively on national and continental platforms.

The PDP chairman also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to media freedom and support for journalists contributing to democracy and development in the state.

Turnah, on behalf of the Bayelsa PDP family, congratulated Ovieteme and urged him to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and ethical journalism.
