Thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ossaima Community, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring their support for the Party and its renewed leadership under the State Chairman, High Chief (Hon.) Alabh George Turnah, MON, Esq.

The Bayelsa PDP Chairman has warmly welcomed them into the Party, assuring them that they would be treated with inclusion, equality and dignity. He emphasized that the PDP is a broad family with room for every Bayelsan who believes in the progress and development of the State, irrespective of previous political affiliation.

Turnah urged the new members to regard their defection as a new beginning and assured them that the Party would continue to strengthen its grassroots structures while ensuring that every member has a sense of belonging and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of the PDP in Bayelsa State.
