The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State, High Chief (Hon.) Alabh George Turnah, MON, Esq., has called on Bayelsans to enter the month of September with renewed faith, unity and a stronger commitment to the peace, progress and development of the State.
In his New Month message, Turnah extended warm greetings to Bayelsans and urged citizens to rise above political, ethnic, religious and other differences, stressing that the collective interest of Bayelsa must always take precedence over individual or partisan considerations.
Turnah emphasized that while political differences are natural in a democracy, they must never become a basis for division among a people bound by a common heritage and destiny.
“Our political differences must never be greater than our love for Bayelsa. We may belong to different political parties and hold different opinions, but we remain one people. The Bayelsa project is bigger than any political party, and our unity remains our greatest strength.”
The PDP Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to a political culture anchored on inclusion, mutual respect, peaceful engagement and equal opportunity, expressing confidence that a better and more prosperous Bayelsa is achievable when citizens work together and place the collective interest above personal differences.
He noted that the new month presents fresh opportunities for growth, restoration and greater possibilities, urging Bayelsans to remain hopeful and committed to building a State where every citizen can aspire, contribute and succeed.
Turnah prayed for peace in Bayelsa homes and communities, good health, divine favour and prosperity for the people, declaring that “joy is coming, and the best is still ahead of us.”
