The Bayelsa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the commencement of sales of expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of party primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections
This was made known through a statement by Toruyokotie Godspower ESQ, the State Organizing Secretary on Tuesday .
The PDP notified members of the party desirous to secure tickets for state house of assembly and national assembly elections respectively that the forms are now available at the party’s State Secretariat located at Okutukutu by Timikon Gas Station along the Isaac Adaka Boro Expressway, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State
According to the statement, interested aspirants are required to take the following steps:
I) “Pay the applicable expression of interest fee and cost of nomination form into Zenith Bank Account No.: 1311985167 in favour of PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY BYS CHAPTER.
II) Take a copy of the teller to the office of the State Treasurer at the State Secretariat for verification of payment status, and upon successful verification, a payment verification number will be issued
III) “Proceed to the office of the State Financial Secretary with the payment verification number and obtain official receipts covering all payments made
IV) “Proceed to the office of the State Organizing Secretary with copies of all receipts issued for issuance/collection of the purchased expression of interest and nomination forms
V) “All collected expression of interest and nomination forms must be filled out and returned to the office of the State Organizing Secretary not later than Friday May 8th 2026.”
The PDP also gave application fees/dues & cost of nomination forms are follows:

1. Expression of interest fees for all contestable offices: N1,000,000.00
2. Nomination forms: State House of Assembly N2,000,000.00: House of Representatives N3,000,000.00: Senate N5,000,000.00
3. Administrative Charge/Handling Fee: N350,000.00
4. State Party Developmental Levy: N500,000.00
5. Party Membership/Subscription Dues: N150,000.00 per annum (2023 -2026)
   The party warned that all fees, dues, and payments are to be made in favour of the party and lodged into the Zenith Bank Account details given above.
