The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State continues to witness increased political activities as more aspirants troop to the State Secretariat in Yenagoa to obtain Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate positions ahead of the party primaries.

The steady influx of aspirants and supporters has further reinforced the growing confidence and renewed momentum within the party following recent developments at the national level.

Party officials at the Secretariat described the process as smooth and transparent, with aspirants expressing optimism about the party’s readiness for the forthcoming elections.

The Bayelsa State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, reiterated the party’s commitment to providing a level playing field for all aspirants, assuring members of a free, fair, and credible primary process.

Barr. Turnah also called on interested Bayelsans who are yet to obtain their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to take advantage of the extension granted by the party for the purchase of forms. He noted that the extension demonstrates the PDP’s commitment to inclusiveness and equal opportunity for all aspirants seeking to contest under the platform of the party.

The state Chairman also urged party faithful to remain united and committed to the ideals of the PDP as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
