The father of the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Mr. Olobha Turnah, on Thursday paid an unscheduled visit to his son, Hon. Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, at the party’s State Secretariat in Yenagoa, in a moment that blended fatherly pride, political reflections, and light-hearted exchanges.
During the visit, the elder Turnah commended the State Chairman for what he described as a refreshing and people-oriented leadership style that is gradually creating a new face of politics and leadership in Bayelsa State. He particularly praised his son’s efforts in giving hope and political direction to young people while also bridging the gap between the older and younger generations.
In a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, father and son reflected on recent political developments within the PDP, including the party’s Supreme Court victory, drawing laughter and admiration from party members and supporters present at the Secretariat.

Mr. Olobha Turnah urged the PDP Chairman to remain steadfast and focused in his commitment to bringing renewed hope and joy to Bayelsans, advising him never to lose touch with the people despite the pressures of political leadership.
He also offered prayers for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and protection upon his son as he continues to pilot the affairs of the party in the state.
The visit has further highlighted the strong family bond and moral support behind the Bayelsa PDP Chairman’s growing political influence and leadership journey.
