As the PDP prepares for its National Convention in Ibadan on November 15–16, tensions are rising within the party. A faction loyal to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has released a six-point demand, calling for fresh congresses in Ebonyi and Anambra, a new Southeast zonal congress, respect for the court-recognised South-South congress, immediate Ekiti LGA congresses, adherence to NEC guidelines without micro-zoning, and retention of the National Chairmanship in the North-Central.
