Zonal Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South South Zone, Chief Alabh George Turnah (MON), has felicitated the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday anniversary.
“Rt. Hon. Ingobere is a distinguished legislator, a seasoned statesman, and a patriotic son of Bayelsa whose record of public service continues to inspire deep confidence in our democratic institutions and governance processes.
“His calm yet firm approach to legislative administration, unwavering commitment to democratic values, and resolute focus on the overall wellbeing of the people have brought a renewed sense of purpose and dignity to the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
“The PDP is truly proud of his leadership and the positive impact it has made,” Turnah said in a statement issued by his spokesman, Mr. Kelvin Loveday-Egbo.
Turnah who also chairs the interim caretaker committee of Bayelsa PDP as appointed by Chief Dan Orbih, National Vice Chairman in charge of South South PDP, opined that Ingobere has consistently demonstrated uncommon wisdom, tact, and maturity in the discharge of his duties.
He added that the Speaker’s leadership has promoted unity among lawmakers, enabled meaningful debates on matters of public interest, and ensured the timely passage of laws that speak to the aspirations of Bayelsans and the development of the state.
According to Turnah, “Under his stewardship, the House of Assembly has remained an example of legislative excellence, prioritizing laws that advance accountability, social welfare, security, and infrastructure.
“I am confident that Rt. Hon. Ingobere will continue to uphold these values and work tirelessly to strengthen the legislative framework for a prosperous and inclusive Bayelsa.
“There is no doubt that he will remain steadfast in his noble mission of enacting laws that reflect the collective interest of Bayelsans.
“His performance is a shining example of the responsive and visionary leadership that the PDP proudly represents and promotes across Nigeria.”
Turnah who is also a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) prayed for the Almighty God to keep blessing the Speaker with wisdom, good health, and renewed strength.
