George Turnah’s passion for public service emerged alongside his legal career. In 2013, he first engaged in local governance efforts, organizing voter‑education workshops in Bayelsa State and advising civic groups on legislative advocacy. In 2017, George was appointed Secretary‑General of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) South‑South Zone, making him one of the youngest individuals to hold this influential national party office. In this capacity, he coordinates policy development, facilitates inter‑state collaboration, and oversees party administration across six states: Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, and Rivers.
