Education to a young law graduate is not complete until such a graduate is called to the Bar as ‘Barrister at Law’ after an additional year-long course at the Nigerian Law School. This additional and accompanying financial requirement sometimes results in the young graduate missing out due to financial constraints and so having his/her dream of becoming an Attorney/Counsel quashed.
This was the case of EIGHT young Bayelsans who have just secured admission into the Nigerian Law School (NLS) upon graduation from the Niger Delta University but were at the verge of losing their admission into the NLS due to financial constraints.
However, help came when the vision bearer and Chairman of #TheGeorgeTurnahFoundation Bar. Turnah George Alabh MON came to their rescue when he presented cash gift of ‘three hundred thousand naira’ (N300,000) to them during the monthly Night Vigil service of the #GodsGraceandMercyChapel in his Kolo country home. According to him, the money was to enable them meet up with the financial obligations, accommodation and upkeep as they prepare for the Nigerian Law. He further urged other well-meaning Bayelsans and Nigerians to show support for the less privileged members of the society.
Speaking on behalf beneficiaries, Mr Jubilee Kingboy expressed appreciation to the Chairman/Founder of the Foundation for sponsoring them pointing that the gesture came at the point when many of them were at the verge of giving up on.
Beneficiaries include: Mathias Ebisintei, Kingboy Jubilee, Wisdom Meni Adike, Amba A. Prosper, Amatare Jeremiah, Lokoja Harriet, Eniye Igbanibo and Daubriyaibo John
