Barr. George Alabh Turnah, Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South South Zone, has congratulated a prominent media and communication expert, High Chief Nathan Egba-Dienagha, on his emergence as Chairman of the Okpoama Kingdom Chiefs Council (OKCC).

Magrovepen had reported that Egba-Dienagha defeated his rival candidate, Chief Diepreye Inengibofa-Asapurabo, in a keenly contested election that took place on Friday at Okpoama in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

In a goodwill message signed by him, Turnah said Egba-Dienagha’s victory via a credible election reflects the confidence the chiefs and people of Okpoama have in his leadership, experience and vision.

“On behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South South Zone, the Bayelsa State PDP Caretaker Committee, and the NEW Associates family, I, Chief Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, heartily congratulate High Chief Nathan Egba-Dienagha on his well-deserved election as Chairman of the Okpoama Kingdom Chiefs Council (OKCC).

“Your emergence through a keenly contested process reflects the high level of trust and confidence the people and chiefs of Okpoama Kingdom have in your leadership, experience, and vision,” the statement read in part.

Turnah, who is also a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), also expressed confidence that with the emergence of Egba-Dienagha leading the chiefs council, Okpoama Kingdom will witness greater peace, unity, and sustainable development.

“I urge all sons and daughters of Okpoama to rally around your leadership for the progress and prosperity of the Kingdom.

“Be assured of our continued prayers and support as you embark on this important journey of service.

“Once again, congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure,” the statement concluded.
