Overview
The N.E.W ASSOCIATES Economic Growth Support Scheme for Bayelsa Youths is a strategic grassroots economic empowerment initiative aimed at supporting 1,000 community-based businesses across the eight (8) Local Government Areas of Bayelsa State, including enterprises run by non-indigenes living and doing business within the state.
This transformative program is powered by THE NEW ASSOCIATES POLITICAL STRUCTURE, BAYELSA STATE CHAPTER, and is focused on creating long-term economic growth by investing in local entrepreneurs, artisans, traders, and micro-enterprises.
Objectives of the Scheme
- 💼 Empower local businesses with access to grants and business support.
- 📈 Boost economic activities in rural and urban communities.
- 🌍 Foster inclusivity by extending support to both indigenes and non-indigenes.
- 👩💼 Encourage women and youth-led enterprises to thrive and scale.
- 🤝 Promote community-level self-reliance and sustainable development.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible participants include:
- Registered or active grassroots businesses in Bayelsa
- Operate within one of the 8 LGAs (or are a non-indigene doing business locally)
- Are 18 years or older
- Can present a valid ID when required
- Youth entrepreneurs and female-owned enterprises
- Artisans, traders, smallholder producers, and service providers
- Members of the non-indigenes community with active local businesses
After Submission
- You will receive a confirmation email with your application slip (PDF) attached.
- Print and submit this slip at the State Secretariat of The NEW Associates along with a valid ID.
